We are thrilled to announce the arrival of new Optometrist, Dr. Kurt R. Olson. He joins Dr. Chad Thompson in providing patients with comprehensive eyecare solutions at all three of Tour locations in Beloit, Smith Center, and Concordia. Dr. Olson will also provide care at area nursing homes and is available for 24-hour eye emergencies.
Dr. Olson, a native of Oberlin, Kansas, earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. During his optometry training, Dr. Olson completed rotations at Newington Veteran's Hospital in Connecticut, Lawton Indian Health Services Hospital in Oklahoma, and Moyes Eye Center, a surgical referral center in Lee's Summit, Missouri. He received his undergraduate degree in agronomy from Kansas State University.
He is experienced in the full scope of Optometric practice including, vision evaluation, treatment and management of ocular disease, contact lenses, vision and learning disorders, and emergency eyecare. Dr. Olson is available for appointments Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturdays by appointment.
Dr. Olson states, “The most important thing to me is getting to know my patients. I listen to their concerns and help them work toward vision and health solutions. I am excited to be at The EyeCare Center. The EyeCare Center's facilities, technology, and staff are phenomenal and allow us to provide the best possible care. And of course growing up in northwest Kansas, I feel right at home. I'm very happy to be back in a community with strong rural values.”
“We couldn't ask for anyone better than Dr. Olson. We pride ourselves on providing only the highest quality eye care services and products, and look forward to continuing that exceptional standard of care with Dr. Olson,” says Dr. Thompson.
The EyeCare Center invites you to stop by and meet Dr. Olson and welcome him to our communities. An open house to celebrate his arrival will be announced soon.
